How often should I have my chimney cleaned?
You should have your chimney cleaned after burning 1.5 cords of soft wood or 3 cords of hard wood. A cord is 4’ high x 4’ wide x 8’ long. Paper logs build up faster than wood and should be cleaned after every 20 times.
How long does the procedure take?
Each appointment lasts 1.5 to 3 hours depending on how dirty, the shape of the chimney and whether or not it is an insert. Bends and curves in the chimney flue will take longer to clean, as well as inserts.
Do I need to clean my gas fireplace?
Gas fireplaces do not need to be cleaned. Sometimes people will convert their wood-burning fireplaces to gas and will not have cleaned them beforehand. If this is the case, we can, and should, clean it.

We do not remove, replace or install gas logs.

Do I have to be home while my chimney is being cleaned?
It is not necessary for you be home while we clean the chimney. Our technician does need to have access to the inside of the home, and he can answer any questions or concerns you may have if you are there.
How Do I pay for the service?
For your convenience, we accept cash, check or credit cards (VISA, MC or AMEX). Payment should be made to the technicians at the completion of the job, unless prior arrangements have been made with office management.
